I opperate a solidarity pricing model and all ‘profits’ go back into supporting pregnant people who need independent midwifery support but are unable to afford one. I only offer full-spectrum care, not stand alone antenatal, birth or postnatal care.
If you want a midwife for just antenatal and/or postnatal please use the Zest directory here or email me if you would like recommendations and/or a discussion about what you may want.
The cost for a full antenatal, birth and postnatal package is £7650. In general, at least £1500 of this will be returned to the ‘solidarity pot’.
The cost covers any and all tests and treatments that you may need for your pregnancy. I offer full early pregnancy support and the price includes (if you wish to have them) blood tests, routine ultrasound scans (at a suitable diagnostic clinic near you), NIPT (gold-standard chromosomal screening), insurance, medications, attendance at birth with a second midwife or doula and no limit on the number of midwifery appointments you need. If you require other treatment directly related to pregnancy (for example work with a birth-trauma therapist) then this will also be covered in the cost.
I offer at least monthly antenatal appointments, moving to fortnightly then weekly in your third trimester and daily postnatal care for five days minimum, with visits as frequently as you need thereafter. I work with families far into the postnatal period, for as long as you wish.
Payment plans are available. If this is still difficult for you, please email me and we can discuss other options.
Whatever care you need, however many appointments, I will be there. It is important to note that as an independent midwife I can completely attend as a midwife at your birth at home, with a second midwife who you will have the chance to get to know. If you want to give birth in hospital then I will be there with you as an advocate, guide and a birth supporter, but due to NHS rules I will not be able to provide clinical care in most hospitals.
If you also want obstetric care then I can facilitate multi-disciplinary care planning, help you navigate birth arrangements, make referrals and accompany you to appointments.
Notes are all online and will be accessible to you, always. I am always happy to print out notes as we go along if you’re a paper person!
